About Us

St. Peter's is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh of the Episcopal Church in the United States.  Located in the busy yet charming community of Brentwood, just south of Pittsburgh, PA, our faithful worship and welcoming congregation attract individuals and families from throughout the South Hills area.

No matter what your background or interests, if your goal is to grow in Christian faith, then St. Peter's has much to offer you, including:

  • A blend of old and new:  Since the sixteenth century, worship in the Episcopal Chuch has been a blend of the traditional and modern.  St. Peter's stands firmly in this approach, offering both traditional and contemporary Sunday services.
  • Christian education:  St. Peter's offers Christian education for all ages, preschool through adult.  Especially noteworthy is our exciting program for teens called "The Journey to Adulthood".  This program applies the principles of Christian living to the challenges facing today's youth.
  • Children's programs:  St. Peter's places a strong emphasis on programs for children, including our children's choir, Vacation Bible School, and Youth Group.  Most of these programs are open to children and youth in the community.
  • Fellowship:  Christian fellowship is important in building a strong Christian community.  Recognizing this, we maintain an active schedule of parish events, such as dinners, picnics, movie nights, and much more.
  • Outreach:  We make every effort to remain sensitive to the changing needs of our community and to offer assistance in various ways.  We have collected and delivered good for women's shelters, helped feed the homeless, sponsored orphans, and sent care packages to troops overseas.  Our goal is always to share Christ's love.

This is just a sampling of what you will find at St. Peter's.  We invite you to explore the rest of our website for additional information and, of course, to visit us in person.  We look forward to meeting you!
