Our Rector

Reverend Todd Brewer

Reverend Todd Brewer is serving as St. Peter's summer interim as we search for a new rector to replace the retired Reverend Philip Wainwright.

Reverend Brewer graduated from Trinity School of Ministry in May 2009.  He was ordained a priest by Bishop Michael G. Smith of the Diocese of North Dakota on June 2, 2010, during a service at St. Peter's.

His father, Reverend Greg Brewer, is rector of the parish of Calvary-St. George in New York City.

Reverend Brewer and his wife, Kelly, currently reside in Pittsburgh's Bloomfield neighborhood.

Reverend Philip Wainwright (Rector 1999-2010)

Reverend Philip Wainwright became the fifth rector of St. Peter's in 1999.  A native of England, he served parishes in New Mexico, South Carolina, and Virginia before coming to Pittsburgh.  He and his wife, Thekla, have six children, four grown and two still at home.

Reverend Wainwright was the editor of the Episcopal Evangelical Journal from 1994 to 2003 and currently serves on the Committee on Canons for the Diocese of Pittsburgh.  He is also working toward a doctorate in Church History.

After over 10 years of faithful service at St. Peter's, Reverend Wainwright entered into retirement in May 2010.
