On June 20, 2010, Ana Maria Bayne was welcomed as a member of our Communion. The Bishop of Pittsburgh, The Right Reverend Kenneth Price, was at St. Peter's for a scheduled visitation, which is a perfect occasion to present members for Confirmation or Reception into the Episcopal Church.

Father Todd Brewer, our new Interim Rector, was happy to welcome Bishop Price back to St. Peter's, who had recently assisted at his ordination. We heard a fine sermon from the Bishop, and then Ana Maria was prepared to come forward to be formally received and welcomed.
During the ceremony, the person being received and the attendant members of the parish renew the baptismal covenant. Ana Maria and her three children have been coming to St. Peter's for a good while.
Audrey Crompton and Laura Kowalski served as acolytes for this special occasion, and our interim organist, Susan Karas, provided the music. Karen Critchfield and her son, Matthew Critchfield, sang as our choir.
